We are regular visitors to Palm Cove and always rent from Tropical North Car Rentals. Their customer service is excellent. All enquiries bookings and requirements are dealt with promptly and professionally. They provide late model well equipped low mileage cars at very competitive rates with no additional mileage charge. Tropical North Car Rental's pricing is transparent from the outset. The standard low excess ($500) compares very favorably with the terms offered by the major hire companies who generally offer rates with a much higher excess and then go for hard sell to reduce the excess (and greatly increase the cost of the hire) when you arrive. Airport pickups and drop offs make it all too easy. I would and do always recommend that anyone visiting Cairns/Palm Cove/Port Douglas rent a car from Tropical North Car Hire.

Was very happy with my rental experience from this company. Rented an MG in Palm Cove for 3 days and returned it in Cairns.Car was in excellent condition and fuel consumption was low. Renting a car is often a frustrating experience - but Tropical North Car Rentals were great! A totally reasonable $500 excess (not $3,500 like the big companies), told us where to fill up the tank (rather than charging us $5.00 a litre to fill it for us), and just made the whole thing simple. We would 100% recommend using this company!

Very helpful staff and reliable vehicle. We picked up in Palm Cove and did a great day trip to Cape Tribulation. Then had three days in the Atherton Tableland. We returned the vehicle to Cairns office just 5mins away from airport and they kindly gave us a lift to the airport. Definitely recommend rental with Palm Cove Car Rental (Tropical North Car Rental)

We rented a car for 24 hours with Tropical North Car Rentals. They were so easy to deal with. Collected us from our accommodation and took us to their office to sign the paperwork. At the end of the rental dropped us to the airport. Super friendly staff. Definitely recommend.
Very friendly people. Someone picked us up from our hotel and took us to the office where we picked up our clean new car for 2 days at a very reasonable price. On return to the office we were driven to wherever we wanted to go which in our case was the cruise terminal. Thoroughly recommend this car rental
Very straightforward and easy process. They went out of their way to make the whole process as comfortable as possible for us. They even picked us up at our place and dropped us off at the airport for no extra fee. And they offer the best value per money in town, when one drives more than 100km in a day.
